We are pleased to feature Rauma 100% Wool Norwegian Rug Yarn.  The wools primarily come from the special Spælsau sheep which are grown on the west coast of Norway. Small farmers in the mountains and along the fjords excel in the raising of  this special brand of sheep with a history of 1500 years.  Rauma offers many weights of yarn, two of which are ideal for rug hookers  The Ryegarn, 2 ply, is perfect for using for whipping the edge of rugs.  It has a very tight twist and is a thick yarn.  75m/skein = approx 82 yds.  83 different colors are offered. This yarn also dyes beautifully for custom matches.
